Taipei, Taiwan - Germany, a pioneer in global energy transition, has been actively promoting its energy transformation initiatives since the year 2000. To share its valuable experience with Taiwanese, the German Trade Office Taipei (GTO) and its service unit, DEinternational Taiwan Ltd., is proud to participate for the seventh time in the "Energy Taiwan" event at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1, which opened today. The “German Pavilion” at this year's event features six leading German renewable energy companies. In addition to showcasing the latest technological trends and solutions, the Germany Pavilion aims to facilitate collaboration between German renewable energy experts and Taiwanese businesses, working together to achieve their mutual goals in energy transition.
In the face of carbon reduction issues, the Taiwan government plans to increase the share of renewable energy in electricity generation to 20% by 2025 and achieve the net-zero emissions goal by 2050. Axel Limberg, the Chief Representative and Executive Director of the German Trade Office Taipei, stated, "Germany has been planning for a long time to achieve net-zero emissions through energy transition. According to the latest data, in the first three quarters of 2023, Germany's renewable energy usage in electricity generation exceeded 50%, with 40% coming from wind power and nearly 30% from solar energy. Germany is strongly demonstrating its commitment to energy transition and to share this experience with Taiwan.
This year, the German Pavilion features a strong lineup, including Aquila Clean Energy APAC Pte Ltd., Taiwan Branch, Deutsche Windtechnik, ENERCON Taiwan, TÜV Rheinland Taiwan, Melchers Taiwan and HeliService Operational Company Taiwan to showcase developments in five product group: PV Taiwan, wind energy Taiwan, smart storage Taiwan, emerging power Taiwan, and net-zero Taiwan. The renewable energy experts from the German Pavilion look forward to long-term cooperation with Taiwanese businesses through this exhibition.
During the "Energy Taiwan" exhibition, the German Pavilion will host an exhibitor presentation at 2:00 PM on October 19, providing participants with firsthand data analysis. Additionally, during the exhibition, the German Pavilion will also offer a daily Happy Hour from 3:30 PM, featuring Paulaner beer, BASTET wines, BEMBEL WITH CARE German apple cider, Rosbacher sparkling water, and freshly ground coffee from Miele.
